I received a Bachelor's degree from Stanford University, and Master's and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, accredited by the American Psychological Association. It was one of the first schools in the United States to integrate clinical experience in a variety of settings with classroom education focusing on theory and research. The California School of Professional Psychology was dedicated, at its founding in 1969, to honoring, valuing, and understanding diversity in a multicultural society, and to combating discrimination in all its forms.
Additional Training and Experience
I received additional training at...
the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Mental Health Services Department, where I provided individual, couples, and group psychotherapy for a diverse population struggling with a wide range of psychological issues.
The Sexual Recovery Institute, specializing in the treatment of sex addiction. I provided individual, couples, and group psychotherapy for individuals struggling with addiction to self-sabotaging sexual behaviors, and group therapy for their partners.
The Saturday Center for Psychotherapy, one of the premier training sites in Los Angeles for contemporary psychodynamic therapy. I provided long-term, insight-oriented therapy for individuals and couples dealing with a wide range of psychological issues.
the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, where I studied Seeking Safety (therapy for PTSD and substance abuse), Problem Solving Therapy, and Crisis Oriented Recovery Services, all Evidence Based Practices.
I have been trained in providing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy through the EMDR Institute, and offer that treatment modality in addition to others.
