HOW WE WORK TOGETHER
Practice Philosophy & Approach
Creating a Space Where You Feel Seen, Heard, and Understood
With over 15 years of licensed clinical experience—and a lifetime of learning about human nature—I strive to create an atmosphere of safety, warmth, and zero judgment.
My primary therapeutic lens is contemporary psychodynamic, which means we look together at the underlying patterns, early experiences, and unconscious defenses that shape how you feel and relate to others today. However, because every person’s story is unique, I integrate a blend of cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, systems, and existential perspectives, alongside EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy when appropriate.
I work collaboratively with my clients. You can expect me to be a compassionate listener, but also an active partner—asking thoughtful questions, offering fresh perspectives, and gently challenging you toward meaningful growth.
Education & Clinical Foundation
Grounded in scientific rigor, multicultural inclusivity, and dedicated clinical practice.
My journey in psychology began at Stanford University, followed by my Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology—a program built on deep respect for diversity, inclusion, and hands-on patient care. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting diverse communities through my work at the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Mental Health Services Department, The Sexual Recovery Institute, and The Saturday Center for Psychotherapy, where I specialized in contemporary psychodynamic therapy. Today, I combine this relational approach with specialized EMDR training from the EMDR Institute, allowing me to tailor our work together using both traditional talk therapy and transformative, body-centered trauma processing.
